A Successful Webinar for Energy Supplier Eneco
No one can escape the fluctuating energy prices. Not only customers have questions about what to expect, but energy suppliers are also busy; especially their marketing and communication departments. Energy supplier Eneco sought support from NOSUCH On-Site and asked our On-Site professional to organize a webinar to inform business customers and answer their many questions.
Eneco’s challenge: Increased engagement and customer loyalty
Eneco wanted to strengthen its positioning and professionalize its marketing, with the goal of increasing customer loyalty and engagement among existing and potential medium-sized business customers. They needed a proactive MarCom advisor who could quickly integrate into the current team—a NOSUCH On-Site professional! Our team member Robin was the perfect match for Eneco.
Energy prices in flux: customers have questions
To further engage customers with the brand, we began by mapping out the customer journey and the needs of our target audience. Customers expressed a need for understanding the volatile energy market, which was influenced by factors such as COVID, geopolitical conflicts, and weather conditions. This led to numerous inquiries from Eneco Business: “Will energy prices decrease?” “What can I do now?” “How does this affect my Eneco contract?”
Webinar as a response to questions and uncertainties
To address these questions and alleviate uncertainties, we decided to organize a webinar on market developments and their impact on energy prices. The webinar digitally brought together multiple energy experts to inform the target audience in a comprehensible and efficient manner. Furthermore, it provided a secure option given the COVID measures in place. Thanks to polls and Q&A sessions, we were able to interact with the audience digitally.

“It was a challenge to involve all internal and external stakeholders in the webinar, especially because some stakeholders had different priorities. However, with effective time management, clear communication of expectations, and weekly updates on deadlines, we succeeded in bringing everyone together and achieving a positive outcome.”

Planning of the webinar
The team had a two-month window to organize the webinar. Robin first outlined a plan with all the necessary action points to ensure the success of the webinar. Afterward, she assembled an internal project team with the required expertise and determined the topics and themes of the webinar. Once she presented these to the Head of Marketing and the CX and MarCom leadership at Eneco, the real work began. Speakers were gathered, content was prepared, invitations were sent out, and the webinar was further promoted via LinkedIn. All the hard work paid off; the webinar was a great success! Through telephone follow-ups, feedback was gathered, and any remaining customer questions were addressed.
Energized results
The webinar was a huge success, exceeding all the goals outlined in the plan:
300 Registrations
Doubling from the previous year
196 Participants
Tripled from the previous year
Average score of 8,4
Highly rated by participants
4 business customers
Renewed their contracts with Eneco
Eneco was very pleased with the results and considers this project a successful step towards building lasting customer relationships.
